Explore the islands beneath the winds
St. Martin is the smallest island with 2 national sovereignties, french in the northern part and dutch in the south. The island of Anguilla is about 21 km away with amazing coral reefs and crystal clear waters. In the 1980s, ships were sunken to create exciting diving experiences.
On St. Barth, the city Gustavia is wellknown for its small and colourful shopping alleys. That is why the town is also called "Saint-Tropez of the Caribbean".
Every day a different beach: with its 365 beaches, the island of Antigua will delight you.
The nearby Green Island is an unspoilt oasis, where you can observe a diversity of birds. In the capital St. John, you will find many shops, boutiques and market stands. You should definitely visit Nelsons Dockyard. The island of Barbuda is 28 nm away. This island is quiet and has many sloping beaches, which is great for snorkeling. Further inland, the sumptuous forests are home to diverse bird species, but also to boars and deer. The bird sanctuary in the north west of the island is in the middle of a lagune.
Guadeloupe is divided into 2 pieces by a small mangrove channel. The Cousteau marine park on Pigeon Island offers unforgettable snorkeling and diving experiences.
The Îles des Saintes have a very small population but they are also worth visiting. Wander around the buzzing market places or enjoy a nice meal in the small fisher ports. Dominica is probably the most authentic island in the Caribbean. Explore Cabrits national park, the Indien River and the beautiful natural harbour Scott’s Head Marinepark as well as Portsmouth.
